The only "untained" copy of star wars that really exists is in Disney's vaults. They have a 4k remaster they won't release to the public. There is no canonical version of Star Wars according to nerds. Lucas supposedly sent out copies in '77 with different scenes that were later cut during wide release. Then he monkeyed with the movies in the 90s with the special editions. Then he monkeyed with the movies again for the blu-ray release.

By the end of this movie your mind will be blown. This the middle. Empire has a strong opening and ending, the middle part is meh.

'the bounty hunter tales' book is pretty good. it has actually some ultraviolence in it, and at least a couple of the bounty hunters square off against each other. it's only soy in retrospect, for a 9 year old kid there's probably nothing better.

Lando exists because Lucas felt guilty over the "criticism" that the original Star Wars(1977) was "too white".

I like the relatively unexplored, at least in the EU, potential for what different people were doing for long term plans, emp, vader, thrawn, etc.

it's been a loooong time since i researched all of that, but i do know there was actually a fan version in the mid 2000s that kept all the original stuff and filtered the cgi crap and put it together in a widescreen release. don't think it was HD but still better than what we have today.
Anonymous
I just want to see the original theatrical cuts. I even think some of the CGI added are good like when the Death Star gets blown up in A New HOpe.
